Funding additional resources at the Groote Schuur Breast Unit
To bolster existing infrastructure, we fund an additional doctor at the Groote Schuur Breast Unit. They contribute their expertise, ensuring that patients receive swift and accurate diagnoses. By investing in additional resources, we aim to expedite the path to treatment and reduce waiting periods amidst high patient loads.

Maintenance of essential equipment like sonar and mammogram machines
We ensure that essential medical equipment at the Groote Schuur Breast Clinic is maintained to ensure minimal disruption in patient care.

Flaminglets Student Initiative
Our Student Initiative, The Flaminglets, focuses on providing educational opportunities on our surgery list days. Medical Students from Stellenbosch and UCT are invited to join and assist at surgeries, as well as attend tailored webinars by Dr Liana Roodt, where she hosts valuable sessions for engagement on various topics, from patient cancer care to mental health well-being as a medical professional.
