Karin Baadjes

Dr. Karin Baadjes regularly volunteers as surgeon for our lists at Tygerberg Hospital. Here is some questions she answered for us:

Q: Tell us one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know.
A: I like board games, a lot!

Q: When did you first start working with Project Flamingo?
A: In the second half of 2016.

Q: What role do you play in the team?
A: I am a breast cancer surgeon.

Q: What inspired you to get involved?
A: I am inspired by the magnitude of support that Liana has managed to generate over the years and the tireless fortitude that she displays in working toward the improvement of breast cancer patients.

Q: What’s one of your favourite memories of your time with Project Flamingo?
A: The feel-good atmosphere on every list, from patients to ward staff to theatre staff and the supporters of the Flamingo project.
