A caring space for World Cancer Day

What did you do for World cancer day? The Project Flamingo team decided that the surgical cancer patients in ward F17 at Groote Schuur Hospital needed a new safe space where they can be examined and counselled after diagnosis and before admission. With a whole lot of enthusiasm and a little bit of magic, a dreary hospital room was transformed into a calm and tranquil space. Doctors, nursing staff and most importantly our patients, were blown away by the transformation! Heartfelt thanks to everyone that contributed and our dedicated team of painters and handy men!
